Gnaeus Equitius Marinus

One of the most exemplary magistrates and citizens of Nova Roma, Cn. Equitius Marinus was a praetorial, consular, and censorial senator. Cn. Marinus Censorius was the second person ever, in the history of the Roman revival commonwealth, to be appointed dictator of Nova Roma. He was appointed to solve the internal crisis that was called the Second "Civil War" of Nova Roma, but he hasn't exercised his office, and stepped down before taking the oath, citing legal reasons, and some months later he renounced his citizenship, effective Kal. Ian. P. Ullerio C. Equitio cos. MMDCCLXIV a.u.c.. Cn. Marinus returned as a private, retired citizen on a.d. IV Kal. Mar. M. Metello D. Aurelio cos. MMDCCLXXIX a.u.c..

From Provincia Mediatlantica, he has served as aedilis curulis and pro praetore before being admitted to the senate upon election to his consulship. Cn. Marinus, often called as "Censorius" for his extraordinary sense of duty when serving as censor and for his very Roman character, received an official recognition from the senate for his various merits in the service of Nova Roma in form of a special Senate Award in M.
