Biography

P. Aurelius Barbatus is currently serving Nova Roma as Praetor. Additionally, he serves as Legatus Pro Praetore (provincial governor) of Provincia America Cismississippiana, Curio Maximus of the Curiae of Nova Roma. In C. Cethego Q. Arrio (IV) cos. MMDCCLXXVI a.u.c., he received several honors, including the Censorial Award for "constantly excellent citizenship, sense of virtus, pietas, duty and public activity within this lustrum," the Senate Award for Achievement for being "the first to complete the studies of a camillus in the Schola Lentuliana," and admittance to the Equites Equo Publico (The Equestrian Order) by the Censores "for extraordinary honor and virtue in exemplary public service to Nova Roma with utmost loyalty and for outstanding organization of provincial and central activities and administrative work."

As mentioned in the Senate's commendation statement, P. Aurelius Barbatus is the first citizen to graduate from the Schola Lentuliana camillus training program, after which he was appointed Sacerdos Herculis by the Collegium Pontificum. He has presented on the Cultus Deorum Romanorum at the annual convention of Provincia Australia in Sex. Lucilio (II) A. Tullia (II) cos. MMDCCLXXV a.u.c. and at Mystic South in Atlanta, GA (USA) in C. Cethego Q. Arrio (IV) cos. MMDCCLXXVI a.u.c..

P. Aurelius Barbatus has been a citizen of Nova Roma since Q. Arrio (III) A. Tullia cos. MMDCCLXXIV a.u.c.. He is also a member of the Sodalitas Coquorum et Cerevisiae Coctorum and Sodalitas Musarum.
