The '''Comitia Curiata''' is the oldest recorded Comitia in [[Rome]] predating the [[Roman Republic|Republic]].  The members of the Comitia Curiata are Nova Roma's Lictors headed by the [[Pontifex Maximus (Nova Roma)|Pontifex Maximus]].  The duties of the Comitia Curiata are to invest elected and appointed magistrates with [[Imperium]], witness the appointment of the official [[priests]] and priestess of the [[Religio Romana]], adoptions, and recording of wills.  They are called to approve or reject an adoption that elevates a [[Plebeian]] to the [[Ordo Patricius]] or lowers a [[Patrician]] to the [[Ordo Plebeius]] as well as to approve or reject an application from a [[Patrician]] who wishes to renounce his or her status and become a member of the [[Ordo Plebeius]].
