Pennsic War is
an annual event hosted by two Kingdoms of the SCA. Several Nova Roma
Citizens were in attendance at Pennsic War 30 (August 2001), and
were served an authentic Roman meal by Prima Fabia

The menu included:

hard cooked eggs
-
two types of flavored soft cheeses
-
flat bread
-
herbed olives
-
dried fruits
-
marinated chicken livers
-
marinated cucumber slices
(in garum and
balsamic vinegar)

Baian Stew ("Simply to die for")

lentils and artichokes hearts
-
cannelli bean fixed herb sauce
-
stuffed date fried in honey
-
sliced cantaloupes and grapes
-
raisin sweetened apple juice and sweet wine
