Deletion

Do you want Flaminca_Dialis deleted? I can do it if you drop me a line with a reason. Agricola 06:12, 5 October 2008 (CEST)

Salve Agricola;

thank you so much. Gracchus sorted me out & here I am! Ready to roll. Thanks for putting the Temple of Fortuna stub in that's very kind.

Salve Maior! In case you are wondering why the bit you wrote looks funny, it is because you started the lines with a space.

This is a regular sentence, starting at the left margin.

This sentence starts with a space.

Agricola 19:48, 18 October 2006 (CDT)

Oh so it's like this then? Thanks!

Temple of Portunus
You can use this if you like. This is how we can use thumbnail images that link to the larger version. We can also resize them automatically.

wow that's beautiful. Unfortunately there are not even ruins of the Temple of Fortuna- any of them! so I was planning to use this pic for the entry to the interior with a cult statue, but I don't want people to believe that this is the actual Temple of Fortuna Populi...I have a line drawing of another temple; what do you think? I don't know how to post it here & now i've made 2 files of images with bad names. How can I delete these image files?

To delete them first find them (hint: use the Recent Changes link) when you see the picture page, look for the Delete tab near the top. The rest should be obvious... Agricola 22:44, 18 October 2006 (CDT)

Graphical Elements

Maior, I suggest you not get too deep into graphics. Rather, we can work on a set of graphical and stylesheet templates that we can use to create more virtual temples. For now, I suggest you concentrate more on the background articles and on text, rahter than graphic, content. What do you think? Agricola 22:47, 18 October 2006 (CDT) Oh great. For sure that makes me happier! I think your idea of a template is excellent. I'll go to the library for the big book on the cultus of Fortuna & also work on my Latin inscription for the online temple dedication...is that okay?

I edited the main piece on Fortuna, much of that information sadly is out of date. Because the classical writers, Ovid, Horace conflate her with Tyche, there was the assumption they were the same goddess, but it was not so, until later sycretism took over. I'll take out again the main work on her cultus: Champeaux, J. "Fortuna. Recherches sure le culte de la Fortuna a Rome et dans le monde romain des origine a la mort de Cesar," 2 vols.(Coll. Ecole franc. de Rome 64) Rome. And there are later essays as her theory on the temple of Fors Fortuna is proved wrong I believe. The piece on Fortuna Huiscuis is wonderful! How exciting to see her temple. I didn't know there were any remains.

Got it, will do!

Flamen Carmentalis

Why did you deleted the Flamen Carmentalis Piscinus from the Priesthoods page? He is still Flamen Carmentalis. Vale! Lentulus

  • I have not seen a public announcement of this anywhere, and he is still listed as flamen in his Album Civium page. I ask him to confirm this. Please do not edit until it is not confirmed. Vale, amica: Lentulus MAGISTER ARANEARIUS.
