Publius Valerius Poplicola

Publius Valerius Poplicola was one of the founders of the Roman Republic. He served with L. Iunius Brutus having taken over the consulship from L. Iunius Collatinus since the early Republican Romans did not want to still be ruled by a Tarquinian.
He revered as the most distinguished ancestor of the Valerii.
