Gaius Plinius Caecilius Secundus (c. 61 CE at Comum - c. 112 CE) Roman writer, consul. Known as "Pliny the Younger".

Born in Comum, son of L. Caecilius. Adopted by his uncle, G. Plinius Secundus ("Pliny the Elder"), probably in his will.
