A former faction within Nova Roma that ceased to exist around the year Fr. Apulo C. Laenate cos. ‡ MMDCCLVIII a.u.c.. Its name was modelled on the ancient Roman boni (Latin, "good men") which was a political faction of the late Roman Republic, also called the optimates.
The Boni of Nova Roma were a lose faction, without any strictly defined political ideology or vision, but they claimed to be committed to the strictest possible reconstructionism of the mos maiorum and the Roman religion.
