Biography

P. Cornelia Galla entered the Republic on a.d. IX Kal. Sept. ‡ M. Cotta C. Petronio cos. ‡ MMDCCLXXVII a.u.c. and swiftly embraced the customs and spirit of Nova Romanitas. She is particularly devoted to the political traditions of Roman history, the Latin language, and the Religio Romana, with special reverence for the Magna Mater and Her cult. She aspires to continue advancing Nova Romanitas both within the Republic and in the conduct of her daily life. In her leisure, she immerses herself in study and in writing dissertations, essays, articles, fiction, and even the occasional epistolae to be shared among her fellow citizens. Almost exactly two years after formally joining the Republic, Cornelia Galla completed her studies on a.d. XIX Kal. Sept. ‡ M. Metello D. Aurelio cos. ‡ MMDCCLXXIX a.u.c. and at last gained the freedom to dedicate herself more fully to Nova Roma.

The Road to Rome

Born in the province of America Transmississippiana on a.d. XIX Kal. Feb. ‡ in the year MMDCCL, P. Cornelia Galla enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at the age of 18. After her honorable discharge, she wandered through the Americae provinciae for seven years, without any particular plan or goal in mine, before she eventually settled in America Noveboracensis et Mediatlantica. There she began her studies in human services after dedicating her life to service and grew into many identities: mother, artist, writer, photographer, classicist, and seeker of the theological, the occult, and the spiritual.

Since Joining the Republic

In her time since becoming a citizen of Nova Roma, P. Cornelia Galla she has endured cancer, completed her degree, and resumed her travels once more. Though her vocation in human rights and social services continues to anchor her life, she now rejoices in having more time and energy than ever to devote to Nova Roma.
