Camenae

Roman goddess of springs. The Camenae included Egeria, Carmentis, Antevorta and Postvorta. They were wise and could give prophesy through inspiration. Their place of worship was a lucus a sacred grove at the Port Capena near Roma They were later associated with the Muses.
