COLLEGIUM PONTIFICUMGaius Iulius Scaurus Flamen QuirinalisPassed ante diem IV Nonas November (Sun Nov 2, 2003 2:13 pm) It is my pleasure to announce that, in addition to being accepted as a Pontifex of Nova Roma, Gaius Iulius Scarus has also been concurrently appointed to the position of Flamen Quirinalis. This post was suggested by our Flamen Martialis, Lucius Equitius Cincinnatus Augur, in the hopes that both Mars and Quirinus could have active Flamines. Nova Roma is fortunate that Scaurus was willing to stand for this post as well. As Flamen Quirinalis, Scaurus will be responsible for helping to rebuild the worship of Quirinus in Nova Roma and beyond, as well as keeping the public days and rites sacred to Quirinus. I believe he will do a wonderful job in this position. I hope that our Citizens will both welcome him to this new priesthood, and also consult with him regarding the rites and worship of Quirinus when such information is needed.
