SENTIA GENS, plebeian, is not mentioned till towards the close of the republic. We find in it the cognomens Augurinus and Saturninus ; and the first member of it who obtained the consulship was C. Sentius Saturninus, in b.c. 19.

Some coins of the gens bear the cognomen Saturninus, and others occur without any surname. 0f the latter we give a specimen: on the obverse is the head of Pallas with ARG. PVB. and on the reverse Jupiter in a quadriga with (L.) Senti C. F. (Eckhel, vol. v. p. 305.)
