Salvete Qurites!

I will absent during the 1st of June to 10th of June. I will be on a
trip to Rhodes on a study mission from my school. My Consular
Colleague will hold the fasces and I fully trust him to steer this
ship that is Nova Roma.

This will be one of four trips I will take during my term. First
Berlin in May, now Rhodes in June, then Stockholm in the end of July
and Bologna/Rome in the beginning of August for the International
Rally of Nova Roma and a ten day stay in Rome to study the Eternal
City and possibly meet with other Romans.

F. Galerius Aurelianus Secundus to Jacthondus [gens unknown]. Salvete.

NR is a micronational republic, not an empire. I received my bachelor's
degree in ancient & medieval studies at Southwestern at Memphis (now Rhodes
College) and did my master's studies at Memphis State University (now Univ. of
Memphis) & Middle Tennessee State University. You might have more impressive
credentials but I have yet to see anything of an academic or historical subject on
any of your posts. Please feel free to contribute something like that to the
mainlist or an article in The Eagle. I am always receptive to intelligent and
thought-provoking articles. Valete.

would not be happy to be on the receiving end of her sharp (but usually pleasant)

Salve,
And, (may I so free to ask): How many of Your members are Historians,
specialized in Ancient-History?

MOS: Listen up, I have my share of gripes about NR too, but, if I may be so free to ask: where the heck did you get the name "Jachthondus"? It's not Latin at all. It just seems to be a Dutch name with -us behind it (Romans did not use the <j>, by the way). People in glass houses should not throw bricks!

Vale bene,

The question of 'why' has been answered extensively, so I will not post
repetition. Suffice to say there is little need for your tone....you asked a
previous question as to why the delay in postings and I had the good manners
to answer it.

Refrain from trying to see the worst in people and you will find your Nova

Salve

No, it isnt that easy. I unsubscribed an email list
recently, and i received a message asking for
confirmation.

By the way, a similar incident occured with me;
normally i erase the "tail" of a message, and since
the "unsubscription" hint is in the very bottom, it
survived, and the friend that received the message
thought that i was asking him to unsubscribe. :)

Indeed she is. As far as being addressed as little sister, I took it to mean
in reference to a conversation we had at the Pagan Unity Festival, when
Padruig stated that I reminded him of a younger, female version of himself. I did
annoy him the rest of the festival with my questions about RR, something like
a child, I suppose. He might not have meant it that way, but in any case, I
was not offended.

Yet it is true that my temper has been compared to volcanic eruptions, by
some of my closest friends. They should know, right?

Sorry, I've been confusing. I was using 'Salic law' as
an Anglicized translation of 'lex Salica' or 'lex
Salicia', that is, a law promulgated by one with the
nomen Salix. I'd forgotten about the Frankish legal
item of the same name - apologies for the mix-up.
