Gnaeus Salix Astur Quiritibus S.P.D.

Ex Officio Tribunorum Plebis.

The rogatores have finished calculating the results for the last
Comitia Plebis Tributa. Here are those results:

There were 87 valid votes cast by 30 tribes.

-- Aedilis Plebis - 30 Tribes voting: (need 18)
* Marcus Scribonius Curio Britannicus: 30 tribes
* writein: 2 tribes

Having received more than the minimum number of tribes voting, Marcus
Scribonius Curio Britannicus is elected Aedilis Plebis.

-- Tribunus Plebis - 32 Tribes voting: (need 18)
* Claudius Salix Davianus: 18 tribes
* Manius Villius Limitanus: 16 tribes
* Lucius Sicinius Drusus: 8 tribes
* Antonius Corvus Septimius: 8 tribes
* Lucius Mauricius Procopius: 6 tribes
* writein: 1 tribe
* Gaius Geminius Germanus: 1 tribe
* Abstention: 1 tribe

TIE: Tribe 25 (need 2) of Lucius Mauricius Procopius (1);Antonius
Corvus Septimius (1);Claudius Salix Davianus (1);

Claudius Salix Davianus, having received the required number of votes,
is elected Tribunus Plebis.

The gods awarded Lucius Mauricius Procopius the votes for Tribe 25 to
break the tie; however, this is insufficient to change the results.
Neither he nor Antonius Corvus Septimius carried enough tribes to claim
the third tribunal postion, and a runoff election will be required.

-- Lex Labiena de Intercessione - 32 Tribes voting: (need 18)
YES: 31 tribes
NO: 1 tribe

The Lex Labiena de Intercessione is hereby approved. The quaestores and
scribae are prayed to include it in the tabularium as soon as possible.

Congratulations to those who have been elected. Run-off elections will
be held as soon as possible for the missing two positions among the tribuni.

My sincere congratulations to the victors of the Plebian Elections:

Marcus Scribonius Curio Britannicus, Aedilus Plebius

Claudius Salix Davianus, Tribunus Plebius

I wish you every blessing and success as you undertake your duties.

As for those who face a runoff election, I feel for you....been
there, seen it, done it. I am hoping that in this next election
things will be decided, for the Plebian population, *and* for you
candidates. It is nice to know what you are doing for the remainder
of the year, nonne? As a citizen, my thanks to you for offering your
time to do this duty.

Health and Luck All,

Firstly, I'd like to thank one and all for the words of support and intentions of prayer for my
mom.

Secondly, I talked to her this evening. Operated on last Wednesday, home today. She sounded
much livelier than the day before the operation and was very glad to be home. Doctor told her
she should be good for another 25 - 30.

Thank All That Is Holy, and thank you my Kin, Kith, Friends and Acquaintances.

Salvete Omnes!

My apologies to any Amborian Nova Romani who showed up in the NR chat room hoping for local news or chattin in Latin on Sunday because of my absence. My ISP has been problematic for quite some time now. I will try again this Sunday 12p Pacific time.

Congrats to our new magistrates. Good luck to my competitors in the runoff election.
On my behalf I would like to present a quick summation of my qualifications:
Experienced Nova Roman Magistrate - 1 term Propraetor
Budding Latinist - My involvement with Nova Roma helped me decide to go back to university and learn Latin as part of a Classics degree.
Experienced Leader - Non-commissioned Officer U.S Marines (Recon)
Intelligence and Industriousness: I returned to school after a 9 year absence and made the Deans List (indication of good grades) while seeing my own small business through it's second year and parenting 5 children. "Possunt quia posse videntur"
Thanks to those who chose to support me and to those who will do so in the runoff election. Again, good luck to the competition!

the Comitia Plebis obeyed the same rules of Comitia
