Franciscus Aoulus Caesar Caio Cornelio Puteano et omnibus S.P.D.

I founded a lot of very good music files in the signaled sites, first
of all in http://www.ancestral.co.uk/romanmusic.htm
Do you have other links within files (WAV, MP3, etc.) of roman music?
I'm very interested.

Salve Francisce Apulie Caesar Honorabile!

Yest, that was the page that romanmusic.com referred to. I hope someone else
has some ideas about where to find Roman music, since it is very difficult
to find sound-files or a good CD...

Salvete!

I realize this is short notice, but would anyone be interested in an
informal, "meet-the-civies" gathering at my place tomorrow? It could be
a simple pizza & movie party (I'll provide both) I live in Plymouth, MA
just off of Route 3 and Route 44 so I'm easy to find. I'm about 45-60
minutes from both Providence and Boston. If anyone is interested please
let me know! Thanks!

Salvete,

I found this article on a website about the practice
of ancient Roman medicine. I thought it was very
amusing in places.

Salve,

While not exactly my cup of tea, I remember a show on the History
Channel about a dig at a Roman fort in England. One of the finds was
a silver staple shaped object that was used to bind wounds in the
same manner as "modern" surgical staples. Silver being hypo-
allergenic is perfect for such use. When the wound was healed the
staple cut and removed, then melted down (sterilizing it in the
process) and remolded.

Pax,

Quintus Cassius Calvus

Salve,

I think you are referring to part of the Roman War
Machine series that has aired several times. It's a
wonderful series, got the video set and it's great.
The part you are referring to is, I believe, part
three about life on the fort. I enjoyed this one the
most because of the medical insights. So far it's
really the only program I've ever seen that did this.

Can anyone know of any other video that covers the
medical practices of ancient Roma?

Vale,

Antonia Cornelia Octavia

Ave, Aurora,

I live in the North Dallas area, just barely south of Richardson
(very close to the 635/75 interchange). What part of Dallas are you
in?
