Avete Quirites!

I stand before you today at the Rostra clad in stola et palla candida to humbly ask for your support for my candidacy for the office of Quaestor in our beloved Res Publica.

I have been a citizen of Nova Roma since a.d. III Kal. Feb. MMDCCLVI a.v.c I have served as Scriba Curatoris Differum for most of this time. I am 54 years of age, well beyond the statutory requirement for the office which I am seeking. Further, in the best traditions of of our ancient forbearers, I served for 10 years in the Military, having been a Military Intelligence officer in the Army of my macronation.

I am, by occupation, a Senior Software Engineer with a graduate degree in Computer Science. Furthermore, as part of my undergraduate studies, I completed several courses in accounting and finance, which are the primary duties of the office of Questor. I also successfully owned and operated a small software consulting firm for several years.

As a candidate for office in our Republic I make to you, the Citizens of Nova Roma, the following pleges:

To serve my full term as Questor and not leave of my own accord.
To faithfully carry out my dities as Questor with all due diligence.
To give full, fair and accurate accounting of any and all funds or accounts entrusted to me as required by law.
To support the Religio Romano and fullfil any and all public or private religious duties which may be required of me ex officio without hesitation or mental reservation.

These pledegs I make to the Senate and the People of Nova Roma before all the gods and goddesses and upon my honor as a Roman Citizen.
